Carbon Emissions and Global warming
Everything you need to know

Why is Carbon in the Atmosphere Bad?
While carbon in the atmosphere is not entirely bad, too much is very damaging. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, this means that carbon dioxide traps the sun's heat on Earth, creating the greenhouse effect. In moderation, this is a good thing, but too much carbon in the atmosphere is trapping too much of the sun's heat on Earth. This excess amount of heat causes global warming. Global warming disrupts and affects everything. With temperatures rising and climates changing, scientists expect an increase in hurricanes and droughts. Global warming disrupts entire ecosystems with glaciers melting and sea levels rising, many species are heading towards extinction with their habitats being destroyed.
What are The Main Causes of Carbon Emission?
There are many different causes of carbon emissions. Some naturaul causes are respiration, decomposition, and volcanic euruptions. While unatural ones consist of over consumption, deforestation, transportation, farming, cement production, burning of fossil fuels, human activities, and electricity and power.
What can you do?
There are many things you can implement into your life to help decrease carbon emissions and your carbon footprint. Including switching to renewable energy, improving the insulation of your home to minimize energy usage for heating and cooling, using energy-efficient appliances, starting to use environmentally safe transportation such as biking and walking, using public transportation, minimizing your food waste, recycling properly, starting to compost food scraps, reducing single-use products, and lower your consumption.
